PERFECT FIT
by Lyndsay McGregor, Earnshaw's June 2012 Edition "It's an approach that's echoed at Swedish import Polarn O. Pyret, where any fit issues are solved before garments make it to the the selling floor. 'We have a person on staff who is constantly evaluating size curves in all our different markets and responding to the way kids are growing,' says Jennifer Athanson, president of Polarn O. Pyret USA. 'Ensuring fit while tackling the unpredictable nature of kids growth to be spot-on in the way we size clothing, while also providing a little growing room,' she says. To that end, the brand's baby clothes have extendable cuffs at the foot and the arm to allow the garments to grow with the child and for the parent to get value. Another point to note is that Polarn O. Pyret doesn't believe in designing different models and fits for small boys and girls since there is no significant difference in the way their bodies are shaped."
