Clothing Care

At Polarn O. Pyret, we make clothing that becomes part of your family. That means clothes that not only wear well but wash well too. To make sure your clothes last as long as possible, there are several simple steps you can take.

Line-drying Polarn O. Pyret clothing will not only preserve brightness, minimize shrinkage, add to the life of the clothes, but also help conserve energy. If you do prefer using a clothes dryer, simply use a medium hot dryer for best results. Our clothes have an average shrink factor of +/- 3% in length and width.

Our outerwear cannot be put in the clothes dryer but should be hung to dry naturally. Often our outerwear is treated with an anti-dirt finish and can simply be wiped clean with a damp cloth. This anti-dirt finish allows you minimize your washings in the actual washing machine. All products that are treated with the anti-dirt finish are so indentified on the individual product detail pages.
